EMECS Delivers IE5-Class Ultra-Premium Efficiency Motor to KERI — Demonstration in Preparation

EMECS, a high-efficiency motor design company, has delivered an IE5 (ultra-premium) class motor — the highest international efficiency class — to the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI). A performance demonstration is currently in preparation.

EMECS has completed delivery of an IE5-class high-efficiency motor to the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI) and is currently preparing a performance demonstration. KERI is Korea's leading government-funded research institute in electrotechnology, with internationally recognized authority in motor efficiency evaluation.

IE5 is the ultra-premium class — the highest level in the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) motor efficiency classification. Compared with the widely used IE3 (premium) class, IE5 motors significantly reduce losses, cutting both electricity costs and carbon emissions through motor replacement alone.

The delivery marks a validation of the high-efficiency motor design technology that EMECS — founded by a principal researcher with 20 years at KERI — has built since its founding. Drawing on experience from more than 50 national R&D projects, EMECS custom-designs three-phase induction motors (IE3 to IE5), high-speed motors up to 50,000 RPM, and rare-earth-free wound field synchronous motors (WFSM).

EMECS will announce the demonstration schedule and results in due course. For motor efficiency consulting, contact EMECS (6F, 132 Oncheonjang-ro, Geumjeong-gu, Busan / +82-51-714-4061 / yhkoo@emecs.kr).
